Great news, travelers! Skype will be providing free WiFi at over 50 US airports beginning on Wednesday.

According to Mashable, “To take advantage of the free WiFi, you’ll need to set up a Skype account. You can then log on at the airport using Skype for Windows, Skype for Mac or the Skype Wi-Fi iOS app. Participating airports are plotted on the map above and on Skype’s website.”

Between connecting flights, unpredictable weather, and lost luggage, traveling can be stressful - especially during the holiday season. Fortunately, planning ahead can make a huge difference. Here are a few Michelin-tested travel tips to assist you on your journey.

• If possible, pack solely in a carry-on. Avoid luggage fees, lost items, and time wasted at the carousel by packing light, and you’ll be on your way in no time.
• Send gifts ahead by mail. Snow globes are not permitted through security, and the TSA may open any packages (wrapped or unwrapped).
• Prepare your iPad/eReader in advance. There’s nothing like getting ready to dive into an app and realizing you forgot to complete the download - especially when the airport doesn’t have WiFi!
• Bring your own snacks. Airport food can be hit or miss, so pack a sandwich or cut up vegetables to eat when you’re hungry. Any liquid components must be less than 3oz to get through security.
• Account for traffic and long lines. Arrive early - an extra hour at the gate is better than a missed flight!
