Traveling gourmets rejoice! Air France will serve six new dishes carefully crafted by Michelin-starred restaurant chef Michel Roth. Book business class flights departing from Paris, beginning on flights in February 1st.
Roth, from the Lorraine region of France, toiled in the best French kitchens and earned his second Michelin star as head chef of the restaurant “L’Espadon” at The Ritz in Paris.

People have been debating the quality of different towns’ food as long as there’s been permanent settlement. Back in old Babylonia, there were probably great arguments over who had the best flatbreads, Ur or Sumer. But until recently, it was hard to agree on a global standard by which to compare cities across the world. Every city has its own restaurant critic — but can you really judge four stars from the New York Times the same way you judge four bowls of soup from Singapore’s Makansutra guide? Of course not.
But there is one guide that might hold a tentative key: Michelin.
Michelin travel experts have created nine new English-language travel apps for the iPhone to help travelers make the most of their time in Europe. The apps, which are available at the iTunes Store, offer travelers fresh ideas on what to do – in addition to great restaurants and hotels – in each of the following European destinations: London, Monaco, Paris, Prague, Rome, Venice and Andalusia, Spain, as well as these French regions: the French Riviera, Chateaux de la Loire and Brittany. Once the app has been downloaded to the iPhone, everything is stored on the iPhone, including the latest in augmented-reality technology. Other features include offline access to maps, options to search for points of interest in and around a location, and the ability to sort points of interest by category, including tourist attractions, restaurants and hotels.
